Iron Maidenin viidestoista studioalbumi The Final Frontier julkaistaan 16.8.2010. Fanaattisimmat Maiden fanit valvoivat läpi viime yön odottaen klo 02:00 julkaistua tiedotta ja saivat ilokseen myös kuunnella uutta materiaalia. Yhtye soittaa tänään Dallasista alkavalla kiertueella albumilta ainakin yhden kappaleen (El Dorado), jota voi kuunnella YouTubesta tai ladata tästä mp3 linkistä. Uusi biisi on astetta rennompaa materiaalia, jossa on vivahteita Bruce Dickinsonin sooloilta. Soundit tuntuisivat muutamaa aikaisempaa levyä selkeämmiltä. Harrisin bassosoundissa on jotain tuttua 80-luvulta, vai tuleeko mieleyhtymä vain tiedosta, että Nassau Compass Point Studiossa käytettiin edelleen samoja mattoja kuin yhtyeen äänittäessä kultaista suoraansa? Joka tapauksessa uusi biisi vie Maiden faneilta jalat alta! Albumin kappalelistasta päätellen avaruusaiheiden parissa mennään ja ehkä jopa hieman yhteistä teemaakin voi olla mukana. Maiden goes Space Cowboys!?
